ECR SYMPOSIUM

Empowering the Next Generation of NCL Scientists and Clinicians
As part of the 19th International NCL Congress, we are delighted to host a full-day Early Career Researcher (ECR) Symposium on
Tuesday, October 28, 2025 from 9am - 4.30pm.
This special event is dedicated to supporting and showcasing the work of emerging scientists – including PhD students, postdoctoral fellows, early-stage investigators, medical students, and clinical fellows – whose research is helping to shape the future of Batten disease science and clinical care.
The ECR Symposium will feature selected oral presentations, keynote lectures from senior experts, and opportunities for meaningful dialogue, mentorship, and connection across disciplines and career stages.
We are committed to creating an inclusive, inspiring, and supportive space where early career researchers can gain visibility, build confidence, and develop lasting collaborative relationships.
Travel awards will be available to help participants attend. We warmly encourage all ECRs in the field of NCL research to join us on the Sunshine Coast for this exciting opportunity.
